The Quantum Policy Institute prepares for tomorrow’s post-quantum world by addressing these challenges as the technology evolves. More specifically, the Quantum Policy Institute serves as the catalyst to develop the required policy recommendations, reduce the uncertainty, and foster the links between a market-driven quantum technology and the global policy and regulatory needs, in order to minimize risks associated with misuse (or with use without appropriate checks and balances).
The Institute’s mission is therefore to serve as a platform for international cooperation on quantum technology policy. The Institute generates cutting edge and rigorous academic research-related activities, taking into account the quest to promote innovation and economic growth while advancing the general welfare, upholding key public interests and protecting fundamental human rights.
